Size 4.5mm needles

8ply acrylic or wool.

Cast on 5 stiches.

NEXT ROW:   Increase in 2nd stitch of each row until you have 22 stitches on the needle.

NEXT ROW:   Increase in each stitch to 44 stitches.

NEXT ROW:   Knit 2, Purl 2, for 6 inches.

NEXT ROW:   Knit 2 together across the row,

(22 stitches).

NEXT ROW:   Decrease in 2nd stitch at the beginning of every row, until you have 5 stitches left on needle.

NEXT ROW:   Knit 6 rows.

Cast off, fold in half and sew the rib sides together and the 5 stitches on top together, form a strap.

 

KID’S SLIPPERS.

8ply wool/acrylic.

Size 4mm needles.

Cast on 72 stitches, rib 2×2 for 10 rows.

Knit for 30 rows.

Decreasing as follows:

ROW 1:   *K7,K2TOG, REPEAT FROM *

ROW2:    *k6, K2TOG, REPEAT FROM *

ROW3:    *k5, K2TOG, REPEAT FROM*

ROW4:    *K4, K2TOG, REPEAT FROM *

ROW5:    *K3, K2TOG, REPEAT FROM *

ROW6:    * K2TOG TO END.

ROW7:       KNIT ONE ROW.

Leaving tail, cut yarn and thread through darning needle. Run needle and yarn through all  remaining stitches (don’t miss any), and pull tight.
