Scarf,Lady 150gm, Gents 200gm

 

BEANIE  WITH OR WITHOUT BRIM:

1st ROW: – k2 *p2, k2, rep from * to last st, k1

2nd ROW: – k1, * p, k1, rep from * to end.

Last 2 rows form 1 x 1 rib.

For Beanie without brim – Cont working in rib until work measures 11 (13) cm from beg ending with a 2nd  row.

For Beanie with brim – Cont working in rib until work measures 17 (19) cm from beg ending with a 2nd row.

For Both  Beanies –

SHAPE CROWN – 1st row

Work 2 tog, rib 34 (36), turn.

Continue on these 35 (37) sts.

**Keeping rib correct, dec at each end of 2nd and every following row until 7 sts. remain.

Work 1 row.

Dec at each end of next 2 rows…3 sts.

K3tog.

Fasten off securely.**

Join yarn to remaining sts, rib 35 (37), turn. Continue on these 35 (37) sts. Repeat from* * to **

Join yarn to remaining 35 (37) sts, turn.

Continue on these 35 (37) sts.

Repeat from **to**

Join yarn to remaining 35 (37) sts.

Repeat from **to**,thus completing knitting section of Beanie.

 

MAKE UP

Do not press. Using wool needle, sew in the ends.Using wool needle and back-stitch, join side edges to form centre back seam, reversing seam for 8cm from cast on edge for Beanie with brim. Join remaining three seams to form crown. Turn back brim for BEANIE WITH BRIM.
